Snip Snip...

Snip Snip...

Okay, so i took forever to write this second review...but believe me, I've been CRAZY busy!

Edward Scissorhands
(1990)

Directed by: Tim Burton

Main Cast:

Johnny Depp.....Edward Scissorhands
Winona Ryder....Kim
Dianne Wiest.....Peg
Anthony Michael Hall.....Jim
Kathy Baker.....Joyce
Robert Oliveri.....Kevin

Summary:

When a kind make-up saleswoman, Peg, finds shy, strange Edward up in a house on a hill, she decides to bring him home with her. With scissors for hands, the town is first very suspicious about this new stranger, until they learn that he is just a gentle young man. The townspeople quickly learn to love him, and Edward quickly learns to love Peg's teenage daughter, Kim, but soon, things take a change for the worst.

Factoids and Tidbits:

-The houses used in the films were a read community in Florida, completely unchanged except
for their garish exterior paint.
-The first draft of the film was written as a musical.
-Edward Scissorhands is Tim Burton's favorite of all his films.

My Response:

Truthfully, I think this movie is a work of art. I has a perfect mix of romance, comedy, drama, and sadness to it. It will make you laugh, gasp, and maybe even cry. I recommend it to almost every member of the family. Maybe not to young children because there are some scenes where they may seem a bit frightful.
